NO FARM SUBSIDIES=NO FOOD CRISIS. Domestic Horticulture over Commercial Agriculture ...
A bucket of Haricots vert it's the second of such piles. The last batch rendered six large jars of preserved stick beans. First job is topping and tailing, washing and blanching. Preserved simply in salt water. We'll get to eat our fill of freshly picked haricot, we give away the excess to our needs. A practice that shows, less risk and greater benefit to our local domestic economy than the excercise of a profiteering commercial interest.

Pathogenic commercial compromise. Local prosperity reliant on Big Pharma's toxic additives, herbicides, fungicide, N.P.K. fertilisers and pesticides. Debt ridden farms grateful for the subsidised assistance and encouragement into cash dependancy,Avoidance of transitionary learning towards a more durable local agrarian economy but fearing the economic ravages of possible centralised government plans for a Draconian reset, hang on desperately to their negative equity. "Better the Devil we know","Let's hope the muddle sorts itself out, before we are all reposessed, bancrupt or nationalised..!"The land has become a drug dependant junky. The image view from Le Breil is I don't doubt one which many farmers worldwide would be happyto have outside their door.Sad to say, it's an unsustainable economic and ecologic reality. The Law of Diminishing returns...Plus Tax.

Peace... Quietude... Tranquility. Accommodating our ever expanding Hope.
A shady patch at the South West corner of the field has lain fallow for the past few years. Shelter from sun and wind at last. Beechwood hedge and Hazels,a couple of rescued mature Boxwood architectural shrubs. plum trees and White currant adorns the space just off picture to the left.

Earth Rising...Plantscaping.
Colour and form, strangeness and charm.A delight for all senses to behold. We establish a life supporting permaculture in preparation for overcoming all forseeble adversity in a poste colonial, poste industrial transition to a more equitable sustainable civilisation. It's time to knock our swords into ploughshares, learn ,perhaps, how to befriend one's neighbours, and get on with the pressing common duty of feeding and caring for each other
This Kale patch is developing fast.. Several other successive plantings are dotted around in diverse locations to avoid pests.
