On a day when Summer made sense...

Sweet Williams..

.
Pink Poppies and White Horehound.

Easy Peasy

Kale seed ripening in their pods. I will harvest the plant today and finish drying. Hundred of thousands of seeds from one plant.  A good return with very little effort. Easy to grow , delicious.

Saxifrage about to burst with yellow flower.

The Runnerbeans are taking to the support sticks. This bed got watered for the first time this season then the ground was mulched, that was sometime after the photo was taken. The boxes inhibit rogue marauding chickens from traumatising young plants.

This clump of Garlic will be lifted tomorrow. The leaves are turning to straw.

There's a whole lot going on here.Tomatoes behind the boxes,Runner Beans ascending fast. Schallots, potatoes,Strawberries and Tree Onions. There will soon be a patch of self sown Kale seedlings. The flowers make good sense of the form. I just like the look...

Campanula

Sweet enough.

How To Identify A Hate Group

"OO. D. L. R. U. ?"

It's hard to believe that anyone in the U.K. would be interested in what goes on in my domain. We are just exercising and developing our means for long term personal survival. Folk must have learned something, surely, from the last big "Reset". You call it World War 2. So much for the injunction to the nation, to be "Vigilant". Illuminated ignorance has been the popular drug of choice for decades

They have Lockdown and curfew as well as mass confusion about vaccines health and law, this side of the moat. Our way of living here, perhaps also the practical philosophy that we are guided to live by affords us some self generated autonamous sustainable hope. Do you remember the days when ordinary hardworking people were conned into thinking they had a "disposable income", then the notion that one's success was proportionate to one's credit rating. Maxing out credit cards became a National sport, Shopping became the meaning of life.  Holidays before paying bills. Merry Christmas, debt till Easter.  Little interest shown in investing in a durable economic domestic homelife. Pay day loans and food queues, record homeless and an opioid crisis. They like to feel rich even if they are piss poor. It is sad that those that regularly nosey around my scrappy modest little blog prefer the anonimity of anti social distancing. Wassup? What's to fear from making civil contact? Make sense and be polite, I'd love to hear from you.Keep your distance take your medicine mask up no one is stopping you if that's your chosen way. Good Luck, it still shouldn't deprive you of the ability to make contact with strangers living well enough on this side of the quarantine moat. You might be glad you did. I got out  could see the current crisis looming ,years ago.Wasted a lot of time and energy forewarning folk.I shouldn't have bothered.

Ornimental Poppies distract from the greener plants. Behind them a fine clump of Lavender is about to bloom. To the left the White Horehound  and centre, a Curry plant.

She's in there somewhere...

Aubergines and more Tomato plants ready for the Great Outdoors.

Right on Time. Domestic Strawberry Security assured. The first of several well placed rows.

Dombar's horns are growing fast.Nine weeks since his birth. He is learning to "be tough" by practicing butting his big dad. Kid learns the hard way, he still loves and respects his father. Noodle , Dombar's mam nibbles grain beside him, undisturbed. She is a gentle caring mam .
