Figs, Fattening Fast and Furious ...

First leaf fall, the beginning of Autumnal ripening. Abundance that's hard to hide.I hope we don't get early frost.

The sky is ashen grey, it's been raining since yesterday. Cold occasional gusts of wind from the east gradually building to stormy stuff. We're told to expect 100 km. per hour gale. Dramatic enough, I think we will survive unscathed. It's too wet for outside work, I will be peeling apples for compot, Anne-Sophie will be cooking and bottling, she's making carrot cake with her Mam right now.  I look forward to tasting a slice or two.
