Tractor man is creating a dust storm upwind of our little field...

Not the weather for what he's doing ideally, the surface is dehydrating fast. It means I wont be able to harvest more beans and Zuchinni until the tractorman finishes work. A cloud of mineral bearing what ever he has sprayed or powdered on the field since the wheat was cut, blow into the air every year. I can't believe they serve the long term  interest of the land. They are closer to carpet baggers than cultivators. The Earth will only get poorer by their misguided ministrations.

Our region has seen major changes. It supported more life back in the day. Recent aeriel photos show the extent asset strippers have exploited the landscape. That little cluster of houses,(a "hamlet" the English would call it), low centre, is where we live. The east side of the village has periods every year when it's just a wind blown "desert". We are trying to aquire the land, how lucky we'll be is anyone's guess. We could then create a "Buffer Zone" of protection against airborne toxins, pathogenic pesticides and what not. A good ground plan, waits in the wings for a chance to manifest. Once the Juggernaught has passed...

What may we do to improve things. Buy the land back and set a better durable example.Encourage small holding homesteads. Bring vibrant families back to the Rural Quartier. Help to bring back the Earth to a dignified retirement from industrialised denatured service. The land is degrading fast.  It needs your help. New skills need learning. Be part of the Agrarian Rennaissance, "La vie paysanne c'est permanent", it's the only way forward.
