Looking forward, looking back...

First Rose of the Season...

 Blooming perfect.

Rapid growth, Turnips(navets),already swelling , Cabbage, Kale and Brussel sprout seedlings near ready for transplanting.

We won't be short of salad.

Fantastic results last season with my Bean experiment. The rhizomes left in the ground once again are proving to be even more productive. These plants are early risers, appearing before the singular seed sowing has germinated. Each Rhizome producing five or six healthy runners. We keep piling on the mulch, the bean trench has become an ever rising mound. I will sow more maize amongst the beans ,worth its weight in chicken feed and popcorn if nothing else, their stalks will add to the support of the beans.

Growing our own culinary Health Service. The "Apothecary" is becoming a charming sight. Plenty of room for more...

 First of the Hare Bells.

Jolly good show!

Two days growth from almost bare branches, the Fig trees are leafing up fast. Night time rain and glorious sunshine.  The tree has finally shaken off it's winter dormancy.

 Pink fairy???
