Browned off with the corporate "Green"...To Oliver Tickell

Academic waffle, arguments and key board chatterbox distraction. I keep bumping into articles and references to Mr. Tickell's active interest in climate change. Just something he has learned to do the clever speak about. "Must be his dad's influence rubbing off", thinks I.It don't sit well with me Ollie.
At the risk of mounding heaps more trouble on my already over full plate. It struck me that the F.A.R.C. have done more for the ecology of the planet than all the corporate sponsored think tanks and propaganda agents within the Oxford ring road. Why so? 60% of Colombia has been asset stripped and denuded of trees.Slave driven plantations and mineral prospecting have over a few centuries reduced the land to near desert, kept productive with chemicals. The baddies in the real life movie want to strip the rest of the available forest land , that 40% is within the control of the F.A.R.C.
We were there fact finding on the ground. Assuredly not a holiday. Not indulging in the white powder made us very popular in the poor quarter. We were engaged in making kitchen gardens. During our stay we were offered land at a low price by a displaced man, who although he still owned the land was afraid to return to continue farming his small holding. He had bought the land with a view to making a quick cash return by cutting down his major trees by clear felling and slash and burn. The trees would have been sold for timber. The F.A.R.C. sectretariat visited him, to advise at first on the inappropriateness of his methods, not in the best long term interests of his small holding, his region, the country or the planet. The messenger explained about the forest being the lungs of the world and whatever else was good reasoning for him to desist. "It is my land, I own it, they can't, stop me ". He continued to abuse the privilege of his custodianship. A second visit from the secretariat followed the warning delivered, that if he caused them to visit him a third time they would shoot him. pragmatic man ,Eduardo left the region, he still owns the land. The F.A.R.C.were not opposing his right of ownership or any sustainable development. He would have sold the cleared land later to cattle men or biofuel exploiters. The erosion has to stop somewhere, they nipped it in the bud. A small example of real world activism.
I am not condoning armed struggle as the first course of action to gain equitable political change. In extremis as per our inviolable right Oliver someone has to stand on their hind legs and oppose the tyranny of unrestrained capitalist exploitation. No one got hurt and the trees were left standing. Eduardo couldn't sell the land as he could find no one able to cultivate and maintain by sustainable methods. Anyone wishing to buy the land for asset stripping would be deterred by the threat of violence or death.
The rest us of may be grateful in our more reflective moments to breath a small oxygenated sigh of relief for the principled stand the handful of outlawed ideologues are prepared to make.
Years ago you were commissioned to go to Peru at a time of a major cholera epidemic,to compile data that would encourage "eco-tourism". Who could avail themselves of that but the rich. With the proceeds of your working holiday you were able to buy your computer, the beginning of the end of your real time "green" credentials. Friend or FoE Oxford place men block all grassroots progress.
Time for a change, "Yes you can". You were better placed to have been opposing the colossal waste of resources that have been poured into the J.E.T. project in Culham. Perhaps you would not have been so popular with your privileged high table peers. You might however have displaced the coalman's son in Henley. At the very least you may have won one Ecology Party seat in the local council election.
Please don't talk patronising neo colonial bollocks in your proposed solutions to the world crisis Oliver. Don't speak of "Rich countries" owing a debt, speak of rich families.
I have just discovered your April fool joke to the world on the Youtube. Much piss and wind with little of inspiring substance. A disgraceful presentation. On your behalf given that I knew you over years I felt ashamed and embarrassed. Not a little angry Oliver.
You really think we should shove desperate working people back in the redundant car factories making wind turbines ??? You obviously have no idea of the sacrifice that good people have to endure to bear that drudgery week in year out.Bringing up family paying mortgage, you advocate a new age of industrialized slavery . Don't speak of a labour force as a resource to be exploited. And buy your book, visit your web site.
You haven't done enough real work yet to pay for the house you occupy. The glitch ridden lip waggling does not promote confidence in yoyur cause. Even sadder is the fact that as it is a cause commonly shared it proves to be a real obstacle on this side of the academic divide.
Yes we have known about the problem for years. Come and talk about the doing something practical. The several times I have invited you, you have hidden behind the excuse of having a family now. Plenty of time for self promotion. The book Oliver was out of date as a means to an end before you licked the data off the screen.
I challenge you Oliver to get your lazy lip service down here and start again or face being pilloried well into your retirement years.Your children will not thank you for being used as your defensive shield.
Look what you made me write. If I didn't care I wouldn't dare. Your dad sponsored your easy life beginning. You capitalised, ended up owning two houses designed to accommodate working class families. A nice little earner hey what.
And how is your good friend David Chapman, You spoke of the sad demise of the mother of his child and the sad effect disfunctional parenting may have had, you kept his name well out of the picture. The common background you shared perhaps encouraged the oversight. I moved out of Oxford because I couldn't get social housing Oliver it was all being bought up by entrepreneurs and property speculators. You had two, I lived in a mobile home. Easy to point the finger in every direction but yours. Address the emissions that are coming from your own pants. Hells bells man when I knew you, you were ten years younger than me now you look ten years older. Tell me with your mouth, in person ,what are you doing right?
I ask you Oliver, what kind of iconic example is that. Industrial Green soap (blue with a streak of yellow or yellow with a streak of blue) is nothing to do with ecology It is ruining your skin and doesn't make you look any cleaner ,nearer in your promotion to attempting to justify your royalty share of your father's investments. The real life progress is not academic. I may not retire ever as long as I have the strength to breath. There is too much work needs doing. We need greater inspiration in working class homes than garbled incoherent megaphone theatre. Wake up bhai you are letting your own side down. I'll get back to you.

Someone's nicked my Ooblee Dooblee...

So much for having faith in outside assistance. Ooblee Dooblee and a few other tunes have disappeared from My blog.I haven't got the time with the amount of other work to learn and master the technology. I had some Tunes on the archive that I was assured would stay there. Perhaps our definitions of sustainable differ. Conditional on what? is the question. As though all the words in the world will mean something else if you don't keep paying money. They were posted via someone else's server. I guess he didn't pay his bill. Then I heard his lap top was stolen. since he has a new one now and his current interests are not the same as the ones he had during his original computer he has possibly just not bothered to renew his past account. Who knows? My eyes couldn't take more than the irritation they endure at present. They are photo sensitive. It is as much as I want to bear to type without harming them anymore learning new tricks screenside. Is it just my perception that needs adjusting or is the percentage of children needing spectacles growing. Summats up thats for sure. Looks that way to me, In my youth all children were tested in school. I remember having it done several times. National health glasses were easily got through the National program. no child need be disadvantaged rich or poor. Hardly any of the kids in a poor mining area had glasses. It was a fairly rare sight. I see a lot more now. Presumably they aren't wearing them just to look cool. So Wassup???
In the bad old days of child exploitation in Europe children were used to do fine craft work Silk tatting for the lace industry being one that immediately comes to mind. Economic necessity forced families to compromise the care of their offspring in poor families every one that could contribute to keep bellies full at home did so. Now in the days of conspicuous consumerism and excessive waste we give children the means to scorch the optic nerves without control or adequate supervision. Super vision, what a laugh. Scary innit? They'd never allow that now would they. Anyway they can't prove it.
Ever hear of screen cleaners? Ever wonder why they are needed? Light can photo engrave a plate of glass. It is worth thinking about at any rate. I have little faith that many will. The optician told me recently that if I use my eyes for reading the screen , fixed focus, they would rapidly get worse. He wasn't wrong. Another problem caused by screenside light is it is radial light not parralel. This is tiring my head. I'll give it a rest. I doubt that there is as much as one person in a million who cares enough and is empowererd enough to do anything about it. Who Cares?
Earth day, I had to smile. One day a year. It hardly touches the surface. One blessed day to show that we give a minute part of a god forsaken damn. I am glad they did it though the result could be quite illuminating. Our village gdoesn't have street light and that is the way we like it. Wish you were here.

Stoner news...

So what's next? There's a ton or two of sand to wheel to the top of the field. I'll not get too thrilled about that little prospect. Doesn't feel much like gardening at the moment.
The space between the dry stone wall and the circular foundation will contain the roots of kiwi fruit, grape and wisteria, all being well.Planning seems futile as I can only work with the materials I have to hand. My initial enthusiasm is undiminished but I have a more realistic view of the degree of difficulty.
Over the last century much of the mineral fines have eroded and washed away. It will be a welcome day when I can put some of the bulk back. Ditch diggings will serve well combined with the local red sandstone ballast. We are still on the look out for more stone. Another twenty tonnes would keep me happy for a while. But today ...pushing sand uphill, not my favourite. I'd better get on.

We bought a house for eighty euros...

The longest lasting part of it.Millstone grit and purple schist. It had stopped being someones home a little while ago to make way for a new crossroad . The house had been there for some hundreds of years. The last occupants an elderly couple, keen gardeners both, took the trouble to have their carefully cultivated topsoil moved to their new residence. The pile of rock and mud is gradually getting sorted, emerging as a much valued amenity in our home field. The site at the crossroad is unrecognisable now,the last of the soil surrounding the house was used to create a roundabout. I am not glad the house has been sacrificed, I will miss the sight of the seasonal changes in the garden as we passed by on our way to Maure, always crammed full of fruit, vegetables and flowers. The couple were an inspiration, all credit to them for their caring industry.
I am glad, however that we could provide a good home for the salvaged materials.
What little good we get for our money these days, the stone represents the best value for hard earned cash I have ever seen.
I will save the long winded dissertation on my theory and practice of organic architecture for another time. My single typing finger wouldn't stand the extra work load at present, hands are aching from yesterday's labour. Back too, legs too, hmm. Knees, shoulders. Enjoy the periodic photo postings. They are fairly painless.
All's well in the Izdom of Iz. The fabled realm emerges from historic ruins.

Still a long weigh to go...

In preparation for 2011...

The last few days I spent in training for the coming year. I will try not to be too enthusiastic about my work. Going at it too fast from a cold start pole axed my lower back a number of times this past season. Didn't post much on the blog in 2010. Complaining about my knackered body didn't strike as being the best of subject matter. The good news is it's still working, when it isn't hurting.
Shifted a couple of tonnes of stone about the yard. Tidying up in readiness for the next years uphill struggle. As the bulk of the rocks move to the top of the field some stay behind to improve the amenity. The foundation of a fire place is gradually evolving.
The crescent in the small circle will be home to two cubic metres of sand in the not too distant future. We will see some of the rocks being bedded into their intended permanent place this coming season.
The roundhouse at the top of the field awaits more materials. I can't believe there are folk out there desperate to hear about my stony progress. They could always drop by if they are in need of an immediate up date. There's a challenge.

I think I will light a fire outside just for the comfort of seeing it in what's to be the yard fire place. Damn the expense. The sacrifice of a bundle of fagots and some knobbly knotty bits of oak, set aside because they are too difficult to split will be amply rewarded by the joy the blaze will bring. SHIT!!! now it's raining.
I think I'll put a log on the stove instead. just enough time to get my wellies in from the wet. Looks like I am in for the day.
"Fancy a drop of rum?" "Thanks,I don't mind if I do." So we did.

Big lump stew later. A warming thought is that. It has given us the strength and energy to overcome all obstacles sent to impede our progress so far. Happen I'll start posting recipes. There are as many of them as there are days in a man's lifetime,It alway's tastes great "The best ever".
Today's I am told has potatoes, carrots , celeriac, leeks, onions, beans, mushrooms. All but the latter came from the home garden.
All we have left over wintering in the garden is Kale sprouts celeriac schozonère.
This is the lean time of the year but we have plenty in store.
We still have hardy salad, pain de sucre, it seems to laugh at the frost.

I have started placing stones along the perimeter gully of the field I will be happy when the garden is completely walled off. There will be less wind damage for one, it should help conserve humidity in the soil.

I am disappointed that the round house is not near completion yet. On the bright side, it is more credible that it will be completed than when I was struck by the inspiration. Massive piles of work to come. Perhaps a posting here on "Coping with piles" is in order. I'll see what I can do.

If my blog fades away after a while, it won't be because of an early demise. My eyes are sensitive to electric light. Getting worse annually. I will revert back to writing the old fashioned way. Google eyed voyeurs can buy the book.

This bit of keyboard stabbing will at least displace the most recent postings.
Joyously forward into 2011 sez I . I hope I see you there.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Putting paid to being played...

It will probably be an awfully long time before I may forget my recent experience of London, most of the memory will be channeled towards the trash , the relevant positive data will be stored and encrypted to ensure safe retrieval. I am blowing my nose and blowing the whistle. Something that certain sections of British society, the secretive sociopathic exclusive sets appear to be quite agitated about.. I am setting to rights a lot of difficult problems that have dogged me for most of my conscious mortal lifetime.
This time around I had been subjected , after being lure by "friendly" invitation, to extreme morally and socially very unsafe practice. Any consternation I may have caused, was for the most part deliberate, the rest was I guess just a deep rooted, instinctive survival mechanism,"as if by accident", all of the expressions of my discontent were vocal. Forensic analysis ,albeit invariably detached and in overview objective, may not reveal the truth behind all the mysteries and intrigues, I will pull whatever tangible threads together, given: What is verifiably Known of what is True.
A lifetime of work in all diverse quarters has allowed me access to a vast field of unique personal experience,"How do you know?" is a question I am often called upon to answer. Access is always denied.
I had to pass an examination in my youth, the Eleven Plus they called it. How many in a mining region of those days could afford to pay Public school fees. The head master,
John Semper B.Sc. impressed upon us boys, newly arrived 1st Year students at the Doncaster Technical Grammar School for Boys, the phrase "top 2% of the countries intelligence", his voice and the memory from that day of initiation in the school hall are still with me.Impressed ? We all were. Passing the exam was easy.I was encouraged to enjoy learning by my father and mother, it is something we all can do ,both together and alone. I have done a lot of that good stuff, but my journey has not been academic. An injunction that was served to us at that time was that if we kept our regional accent we would not be given the credit for our intelligence. "They weren't wrong," sez Iznibz. " There's them as knows an' them as wain't."
I was born in Leeds,in me Granny's Kitchen. the old fashioned way. Me favourite cheese is Wensleydale and bread wi' nowt taken out. First seven years of life were discharged without obstruction or opposition as an imaginary soldier in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment, They, me Dad most of all were my heroes. Dad wasn't a National Service conscript, "they are no bloody good" sez the late Bill Godden. Few would argue with his expressed view for long, I was brought up and educated in the Doncaster region, Dad worked in Markham Main, Colliery. I am a loyal Yorkshireman. I will speak as I find, why stand on ceremony. I call a spade a spade. A shame on those who run in fear of blame.
The George, in Glynn Arm Rd. Homerton Hackney London will continue to be an object of my avid interest. Matters arising from my recent visit are a cause for concern,
Homerton, will be grateful I don't doubt. Who else? How about Westminster College of Arms ? The Spencer family? Perhaps or not. The Council Tax Fraud Investigation department of the Homerton and Hackney borough. Just a tad. The police certainly showed an interest, and you know what lads they behaved exemplary by the letter and the spirit. Credit where it is due. Stoke Newington Police Station, if anyone needs to share intelligence it is well to know. Great Misseden ? Is that Possible ? Fathers and mothers never stop being parents, irresponsible children may take little time to destroy many generations of familial progress . In principle your little darlings are "Banged to rights" now. The public health department of Hackney Borough Council.
Who else would show some interest? Happen an "Ayup Charlie." Iznibz to Iznibz, seeing I to I on a number of issues, (what he may do is not the point) those loyal to his sincere belief in a common collective cause, sustainable development and respect between faiths. There appears to be a high density of anthropologists aboard desperately trying to work out ways to make a fast tax free buck. But of course they are special, they are licenced. Licenced occupation only refers to the residents right to live in the building. Stoke Newington Police told me that the house as it stands is substandard and that it would be considered illegal to rent it out as a residence. I was told that the house has twelve residents paying 2oo pounds a current month each. The landlord they say, lives or is on holiday, in Thailand. Not reachable, why not? Members refering to themselves as the Management(privately of course) appear to be promoting the building as an unlicenced public venue. Public Safety is an issue. Does the tenancy comply with the Rent Act. Tenants rights have been observably overlooked , by accident or design or some other ingenious wizardly device, one may only conjecture. If true that the landlords position is legally untenable then any who act collusively to assist the alleged illegal act would be proportionate to their degree of involvement culpable jointly and severally. I witnessed a tenant being assaulted because he tried to phone the police after being physically intimidated and threatened by a six headed "select committee"bent on an illegal eviction. Identities noted . Easily researched with such well placed comfortable families. A favourite maxim of mine is, "The dog that barks for a bad master is a bad dog." By the way doesn't anyone care enough about domestic hygene to take their boots off in other peoples homes. Their must be some where folk can live without the filth on the road the dogshit, the petroleum waste and whatever other toxic ooze will stick to it. The habit of wearing para boots with laces undone and invariably the tongue hanging out, was adopted as a dress code "for cred" in imitation of festival travellers, who for the period of the fair would be going in and out of their caravans and buses too many times in a day to feel good about continually fastening and unfastening their laces. The boots were most time kept sheltered from the weather under the threshold of the van. A number I seen and a number I know, all without exception would observe the threshold "law". I wore the boots for many years myself , the only ones fitting as I could find, I wouldn't stay long in any place that didn't observe that basic protocol. I hear that the Indian music society cancelled their advertised performance of music and dance, due to sickness. I am still coughing from my less than nourishing stay, two or three weeks later.Did they sample the food from what was promoted as a "café. Does any one know about Public liability insurance? Beyond the gaze of their Nelsonian vision I would say. the stench of mildew was my first indicator on entering the George that all was decidedly not well, the rot, often blamed on the state of Denmark is wholly an English construct." Best to sniff ones own underpants first," sez Iz. FIRE INSURANCE. Don't get shocked they are only uppercase letters they wont hurt the innocent, a bloody big fire might. Given: That all twelve residents may by right have an unpredetermined number of guests added to the fact that an unregulated number of people may be in attendence. I saw little evidence of adequate fire prevention and control.. How is your cough Victoria of Kennington, I hear you had one long before I ever turned up. Not quite as clean as the Kennington, Bigwood, Radley experience is it love? Not even as clean as the road outside the Scholar Gypsy pub. You are being used girl, take your lovely Irishman home he is alright, he loves you and has put himself into legal jeopardy to stay with you. Tell yer man "F" to contact me for some free advice for heaven's sake. If it is mushrooms you want I could tell you of all the many kinds and their locations in a ten mile wide perimeter around the city.No good crying when a caring someone criticises you must have practiced that one a little too long. you are not in the little uns nursery seats now . Twice I saw it both times the inappropriate emotion for the occasion. "How could you say that?" Your plaintif cry. I sez it like this see thee an I duzzn't need to ask ,it is part , indivisibly of what I does. It's me voice. It is guided by the light of experience. Ask Oliver Tickell to sort you out so's you don't end up dying of mildew, it can be fatal Victoria. He lives in Meadow Lane Oxford, easy found. Some idiots call him the green guru. I nearly laughed. Tell him I said He would help. I will be writing more about my experience of that particular "Olly" soon enough. He has access to rooms you might rent You would be eligible for social security. You would at least stand a chance of a life together, The air in the GEORGE would reduce your chance of a healthy child."F", your woman has the pollution resistance of a miners canary. Read the signs. Get her out of there man. Remember the maxim "Never gamble with your luck." I mean don't push it bhai. Mould spores lower overall resistence and leave the respiratory system wide open to viral infection. Mexican swine flu sounds fun compared with Tuberculosis 5% increase this year in U.K. The cause may not be wiped on immigrants but on the inapropriate use of sick buildings such as the George for mutated social events and functions.
Homerton be warned Keep your youth away do not attend any mother / baby events at the George dance in the street by all means but it would be against the best interest of the whole community if you transfer the viral potential and the fungal pollution to your own good family homes, be well warned
For the record Toby , my son iz in hospital at present. His choice. What ever made him think it would be cool to live in such a compromised shite hole. Im only his sad old twat of a caring dad, but I was repulsed by the lack of attention to detail. You say you don't have a problem, Oli? You wish . You claimed you built the George. Tell me more. I hope I get through to whatever is left of natural intelligence in your family. You people had already indulged yourselves in action as a committee meeting last year in Regent's park to ban me from visiting his home at the George. He got really sick as a result. Are you having Fun Lads. You won't mind me undermining your familial security just a little more will you? I will relate as morally as I legally may. I would be happy to hear any of your reasoned replies, but I insist on Coherent Rational answers , true and transparent if you want to be published. I suggest you become a LEGAL housing association, that is a not for profit organisation. Maybe it is impossible for children to take good advice . My life is real Oli, I don't need to hide best nature nor dumb down for popular acceptence. Which of you will be responsible for the return of the census results? You or Teo Brown? Someone else perhaps. Billions are defrauded by council tax evasion resulting in 30,000 avoidable deaths a year, from hypothermia
Councils just don't have the resources to pay out how they would like. I will continue to agitate. I think you need the stimulation. "Mob Handed" would not win you many Brownie points in any "high table" debating society. May not even get you in the door.
I feel morally bound to my dharma I hope that poses no problems for you in the moral discharge of your own. It is always the choiceless option. It means DUTY.
Iz duz iz.
Oh before I call it a day here," KLONDYKE LIL", why mustn't anyone tell your mother that you wrestle men for money? Good luck Teo I will keep in touch. May even promote some worthy challengers during the forthcoming Olympics. who wrestle men for love. The humour comes from Yorkshire too.

Methinks they protest too much...

Until my little haven is complete,I have to accept that I will have to stay plugged into the national grid.Gradually we will reduce our dependency. Maintaining healthy bodies and healthy minds at home is our full time preoccupation. Our little field is still without a workshop,it will take a lot of manual effort,I have yet to see if whats left of me mortal credits are sufficient to the needs. If I don't get manual assistance @ 0% Commission, to mix the mortar I will have to rely on using an electric mixer. If that is beyond our economic reach I am resolved to just potter on mixing a few buckets at a time until the job is done. This isn't a protest against the Big Mistake, we are slowly but surely leaving all that behind both the protest and the mistake.. Achieving more with less is what it's about. If your progress leads you anywhere but towards a sustainable and equitable homelife, you are heading in the wrong direction. Here I am writing in English, who that ever spoke or wrote that language would understand to realise the point of the message."Superior" cultures become decadent then die.Abandon hope all who look to the high tables of the priveleged for a direction forward. The bi polar choice of Party or Protest is ultimately the road to poverty. How many of the 20,000 disappointed B.G.G. Festi fans have homes that really work properly. A vast number are just waiting for their overworked parents to die before any worthy lasting contribution will be forthcoming. I doubt that many of the Vestival crowd that recently invaded the Isle of Wight to protest against the wind turbine factory have invested their expertise and intelligence in providing their own domestic environment with sustainable energy source for their own cottage industry and home needs. We have had the technology and the collective knowledge to have divested ourselves of the need for the crude and wasteful 240 or 140volt domestic grid supplyfor the best part of a generation already. Those rich and priveleged enough to Protest and party are hardly to be held up as iconic examples to those forced by economic need to work throughout the summer. Then what?Indulgence in the regurgitated festifool nostalgia of the late sixties. I admit it I was there in 69 and 70. There has been plenty of time since then to wish I wasn't. It isn't worth repeating a new version of our historic folly or recycling the old one.
Three kilos of peaches has just been turned into nine jars of peach conserve, They will contribute well to the gradual improvement in the quality of our life here. Some of the stones will be sown in pots to bring on as new trees. A few for our little patch and scores to give away. this year we will sow silver birch and ash seeds to replant in the utility wood and to repopulate a small field that is to become our final homeland. I will be sowing damson and mirabelle stones in the hedge between the hazels. We are still looking to find a good crabapple. Hello Family. I haven't left you behind. I have just gone on ahead of you. Drag your heels at your peril. If you wait till I am dead you will be too old and decrepit to benefit from what I am doing now.The way the youth parties it is probably to late for them already. Leaves them fit for nowt worth keeping.
We will inevitably pull the plug on the mains electricity supply. Most of our vocational interests don't need any. This years Tax on the field came to an E-normous single Euro. The "rates" on the house cost about a hundred and eighty Euros. You'll not find one of these when you are out shopping. It's a life of working progress.
All is well in the Izdom of Iz. I still try to get through to the people I care about.I have given up on talking in frustration to the wall. Blah,Blah. Ha, Ha
Pardon me did I wake you. It is a quarter past four,in the afternoon.Go back to sleep. I will write again soon.

The Tree House Gallery, Regent's Park...

I am bound to be critical,I am a carpenter and joiner. It would look it's best through innocent and uninitiated eyes. Form follows function if you don't look too closely. There were plenty of occasions that without intervention children would have been ejected out of the tree house from under the book shelf. Me grumpy grown up iz a professional when it comes to health and safety and accident avoidance. It got the stamp of an architect I am told. He helped to get approval. "The park is insured for squillions of pounds",I heard tell. Insurance policies don't prevent accidents from happening. Personal liability extends to everyone involved in the design and build as well as the use and supervision. Luck was with all who were involved in the project; Best not rely on luck next time if there is one.
Yep I am bound to be critical. No one could deny the intelligence and raw potential talent of the team members on the ground. Top of the pyramid, in principle at least. Even I recognise that and I don't drink. It was regrettable to be confronted by two young people newly arrived from a night on the razzle Supping their breakfast from a quarter bottle of whiskey. Wed an' Ill struggled to retain one line of reason between two. They sounded good to them. In another life or another venue it could have set back carreers or ended them completely. Meks no odds to me lads, but you shouldn't have tried so hard to be influencial. The subject of discussion was personal responsibility to others, they being the vulnerable clientelle, in that instance families with children. One of you want to "do film", you were projecting the wrong images at me. I hope it ends there. Two servings of well worn advice, I have never been too well known for my naive niceness. One,Avoid being used as an apologist for someone elses bad behaviour;and two, never argue with a righteous man. Sober or drunk. Hey chaps I didn't need to listen, what I heard was bad enough. You made an old giffer cross then in denial of your obvious condition and spurrious rationale, you were last witnessed with your arms about each other in mutual soulful counseling;emotional objectivity is something we develop when we are alone. When there is no-one there to tell you you are right. The available publicity barring the sociable network's "are you going?",promoted the groups professional aspirations very well. The impression of a floating pyramid in search of a terrestrial collateral base has stuck with me after many days and much thought. As a whole unit you haven't yet learned to press the buttons of the common working population that would be called upon to support your creatively artistic talents. An overview on the ground is that the group is begging, aching for patronage from above. You be dazzled by each others light. Reckons they'd shine brighter as individuals The little point of common mutual interest of a specialist elite needs more than a subsection of consensus support.
