Staying ahead of the popular mass psychosis, we are not herd animals...

Pretty windfall apples, the colour of Autumn.A few pies or a crumble or two. We will soon get rid of these. Maybe a carrot, apple and beetroot smoothy, oh yes...

Perfect Carrots...

A scruffy bucket of beetroot waiting to be prepared for pickling.

More bits and pieces...

Sunflower seed... chicken feed.

Aubergines, sweet peppers and Greek pole beans.

It takes all sorts...

Carrots put to bed and covered with more sand. Two boxes in the cold storeroom, plenty more for immediate use in the kitchen garden.

Waiting their turn.

The last pear of 2020.

Rosehips (Eglantine), grow to a hight of four metres, creating a secure spiky cover for small birds against the hawks.

 The last peach of 2020.

Curly kale looks forward to the first frost, our winter greens are assured.

We are still being bullied by the daily fig harvest. . Over ripe fruit is enjoyed by a mass of blackbirds. The first tree is looking a bit ragged from all the attention it's getting.  I will be topping the leaders this Autumn to ensure next years fruit are reachable. I will trim the fringe to head hight,All the clippings will be shredded and composted.Help is coming to harvest the figs on the second tree. My craving year long, for fig rolls, may yet be sated.

Beans that mean business. The second crop this season, it's not giving up...

Hollyhocks fully recovered, more colours will be sown or planted for next year, pink, purple and crimson varieties is what I'm looking for.

Trying to join up the dots...

A sudden avalanche of remembered details.  I think me poor brain has been a bit overloaded since the 2016 MerryCon presidential campaign with triggered points of curious interest. "Join up the dots and see what kind of picture may be emerging." Thinks I. Whatever picture I find is hardly a conclusion, suspending disbelief. Mind meandered around my memories of Oxford, (That's the English one).I lived there for some years, got married there, both of my children were born there. Names floated to the surface. Someone else can tell us how they may connect with each other.

Robert Maxwell left this world leaving a trail of financial scandal in his wake.  Mysteriously vanished presumed drowned, (he could swim like a fish so we are told, I guess he'd have to). I didn't take much notice at the time. I am grateful to him for one thing, he introduced the Clean Air Bill to Parliament when he was an M.P. The media were more concerned where all the money had gone.I believe pension funds had been asset stripped. His daughter's name seems inextricably tied to his in the laundering of the family swag, aiding the sponsorship and development of Epstein's Island. I can't believe the "powers that be" wouldn't have known by now, an embarrassment I guess.

Rhode's Scholarships. Two names come to mind. Bill Clinton and Rachel Maddow of all people. Maddow, Clinton and probably Cecil Rhodes himself would presumably line up well as being on the same side.Clintons wife recently received an "Honorary Doctorate" from the University of Wales, we are told, for services rendered to the children of the world. I can't remember any details of what services they may have been. Looked like a booby prize for coming second in the race. "Boobies gettum cos they're boobies", thinks I. There, there. Don't cry  Hillary but thank you anyway.... For services to the Crown is a more likely reason. Potential for corrupt practice within the haloed  walls of Britannica's education establishment has been exploited for centuries. "Moved base camp from Oxford", thinks I,"To that there Island", Another name floated to the surface. Rothschild, he enjoyed a party or two so we hear. Olivier Channon, a Government  minister's daughter died at one of the Rothschild events from a mixture of drugs and drink overdose.Young naives are flattered to be invited to the elite parties, too  easily compromised  into behaving "badly". Conduct Unbecoming describes what I mean. Children of the High and Mighty beware. Political leverage may be applied later in your  successful careers  that would hinder your moral progress should you fail to compromise ethical principles and lower your standards.. Who would reveal what happened at those high table parties?Years ago, everyone was there, everyone was "doing it". Thought it was confidential did you? Useful idiots, all who allow themselves to believe in the moral integrity of their class and without question or dissent, allow themselves to be groomed for use.

A casual meeting with two young fellows, sitting at an adjacent table in Gloucester Green. It was late morning, they both were all tuxed and dicky bowed looking worse for wear. They told me they had "escaped" from a "posh do" that neither of them were prepared to participate in once they had sussed what the gig was really in aid of.  Two clever working class men were wise to follow their gut feelings is my guess.  Without compromising any by name or explicit exposure of happenings they both expressed deep disgust at what they found.

What would I know?  I am just doing a bit of throwing out of a lot of mental images that the  mainstream media has dumped on us over years.. Someone else may join the dots adding them to an already sordid picture of their own. What I got was just too scummy. Reversable underpant syndrome I call it. Both sides saturated , some shit just wont wash out. Oxford is not as clean as it's promotional P.R. would have us believe. ... Hmm, didn't Thatcher have husband Dennis pardoned for breaching the embargo of fuel to Rhodesia during U.D.I. Didn't Clinton pardon Epstein?...So what ,where's the link there? Neo monarchist corporate resurgency?

Whigs and Tories  returning to Victorian values. See Melbourne now openly celebrating the kind of unjust abuse of power and influence that landed it's ancestors  in the penal colony back in the day. Waspish abandonment of those seen as expendable, non essential or dissident to government policy most often poorest and most disadvantaged."I know, why not used the socially displaced a nd the dissident unemployed in our police training exercises?" "Good photo op. promotes a dire warning to the "riff raff". British Disease I am calling it. There's a lot of it about.

The East India Company's grid iron flag went West after the controlling interest was returned to the original investors , a transfer reset via the Royal East India Company. The Globalist corporate flag mutates from containing the George Cross, through the Union Flag, later, after the American Civil War the Grid Iron flag morphs into the Stars and Stripes. Suspiciously  fishy sniffing, long term strategy thinks I.  The old Holding company will no doubt receive a Royalty dividend payout in perpetuity , Law of Property is upheld to be sacrosanct legitimised contracts memorialise "Special Relationships". Somewhat pervertedly at times, I would say. Don't get me wrongly, I am an Englishman, an expat voluntarily exiled in Brittany France. I'll stick with my preferred regional identity over the Corporate entity ,Great Britain plc. An unbranded, generic, independant, natural born English man. Glad to escape the corrosive abuse of endemic narcissism, no longer a "subject" no longer a target nor scapegoated victim.

Seems currently topical, I started writing this before I had heard Alex of "The Duran" getting excited about recent revelations. I don't blame the Russians ,the Chinese. Who ever truly substantiate any allegations against anyone one is advised to keep it confidential until presented in court. Suspicions of Britain being blame worthy are frequently and conveniently avoided. Anonimously sourced hearsay causes only confusion. For the record.

I have started, so I'll finish.  I got too tired staring at the dots, I'll try and join a few more, For sure, another time. I just have to distract from the ugly images modern political life conjures up. I'll be back...I.WAZIR

Ayup Eddy, good wishes on your birthday.

I know it's sometime soon. Between now and the twenty eighth. Don"t panic if you can't remember mine. I usually forget my own on the day.

Retirement plans? Got any? Your big brother still awaits the letter you promised him last year.

I hope to hear from you soon. Reinold.

O.M.G., he's got a knife!

I wouldn't have a hope in hell of doing the work without one.

Me and my Opinel.

Three jars of compot and three jars of pickled beetroot.

Guess what... We have just been offered more walnuts. Just wondering how many is enough. We didn't say "Non". "Merci beaucoup", we can always use the excess to exchange or as a happy give away.

Life isn't just a bowl of cherries.

Chilli peppers from saved seed. The bushes will over winter, protected from frost. Should help to get an early start next season. They're Hot.

Life supporting  Big lump stew for two is on it's way.

Peches Devine, they don't look so scruffy now...

Walnuts, (Noix).

The green walnuts are smaller, the tree is young. This box was picked to avoid us needing to rummage through the nettles and grass later. Most of the nuts have yet to fall. The larger nuts are from a mature tree in a neighbour's garden.

I'll fill it later,

Four more jars of apple compot each with a clove. The pickling marinade is standing for a day, added to sliced beetroot tomorrow.

The start of something good...

We couldn't resist a taste...No photo of the tarts, too morish topped with a blob of clotted cream. A long pallet knife would be a welcome addition to the kitchen to make turning the fig roll pastry easier.

"Peches Devine" look a little scruffy, the flavour is spectacular.. These will be for the most part, skinned halved and bottled.Perhaps a tart or two and some compot. A bag of hazel nuts for skinning and roasting.. Three pumpkins, the survivors all came from our "saved seed packet. We regularly grow several varieties . These appear to have cross polinated. A warning if you are trying to produce a pure strain. "Vive La Difference," sez I, "The greater the diversity, the greater the pleasure."

Transcending the media driven iPhoney viral blocking of the real information service. Don't let government undermine humane life support.

When symptoms of sickness occur, beyond my ability to fix myself. I consult my trusted G.P., my local family Doctor.   If beyond his/her clinical practice or experience to cure the Doctor having gathered his own intelligence may then refer to a Specialist consultant. All details of my medical record are confidential. Unauthorised third party interference  by misinterpretation of intended meaning, in law or medicine, for instance may be proably harmful therefore unlawful, professional definitions having been approved through the due process of law.
The political coercion towards us being forced into adopting unnatural and unhealthy group practices doesn't wash with me.I will continue to practise what I perceive to be essential to my long term future, the good health and security of my family and a duly benign influence within my community, acting as per my Natural and positive Constitutional Rights.I don't subscribe to the compulive maquerade. Delusional paranoiacs may appease themselves with masks. I don't subscribe.
I have, over years been confronted by folk insisting I ought to shave, that I am hiding behind a beard.Being told that my beard is a mask that stops people seeing my face. It is a part of my face, as much of a mask as I am prepared to wear. Observe the adequate filter system evolved to meet natures historic hazards. It works for me and serves me well. The popular trending Pandemonium has no place in our health giving, life supporting rural Homestead. I will continue to live with the folly of my own perceived wisdom.Clumsy actions ill informed choices. Wear and tear getting used to unfamiliar work. The damage and disadvantage at the hands of others, calloused or scarred accumulated over years of running the gauntlet of the xenophobic reaction. I count my Blessings. I Live. The Juggernaught is heading thataway, are you ready. Grand Solar Minimum is upon us. ..

"What to do?...Gizza Clue."  Are you waiting for the government to tell you what to do ?

I am told I am in a vulnerable group, in my sixty ninth year. I have always been vulnerable, the nature of risk may change, styles may mutate to appease temporary fashions. My narcissistic former wife beat my head with a ball pein hammer whilst I was unconscious. She claims it was to wake me up. Ran me over with our Mercedes van some time later. I have been hospitalised by U.K. Police on Seven occasions, without cause or need, and without charge, unprovoked. I can live with vulnerable, so far so good. I will cope, Naturally. "They are not making living through the present crisis any easier for poor folk."Thinks I,"Time we took our collective working savvy and what cooperative human resources  we can muster, through our local knowledge, our personal initiatives are better placed cooperating in each others service. It beats standing in the charity queue, much more satisfying than rioting in causeless rebellion." Blah Di Blah... I could say more.
I will be picking more figs tomorrow.

Apple Sauce and Fig Roll filling...

Help yourself.

What goes on here?

Doorstep Doings...Anne-Sophie sorts out some of the season's gleanings

These small hazel nuts will be roasted and milled for cake and biscuits. We have a mass of huge "Choclatier" quality nuts coming soon in exchange for figs. The red Hazels are favour to be eaten raw.

Walnuts and sunflower seeds, ready for the dark and cool...

Cherry tomatoes ripen quickly. These gleanings wil be used up in sauces, salads and stews. Two days ago they were nearly all green, today this box offer up a litre of ripe fruit. The main harvest in the shared poly tunnel has yet to be picked. There is plenty to do meanwhile.

The walnuts may look a little grimy, we will hose them clean. The Hazel nuts will make the luxury of dark chocolate last longer. Sunflower seeds for eating, dyeing, and chicken feed.  The big splash of colour in the summer attracts pollinators.

The flower is called "Cosmo", thats a Sage plant behind it. Both will be upstaged one day by the little peach tree determined to grow in front of the Compost pile. The view gives me pleasure, I am happy to share.

Apples salvaged from a neglected, abandoned tree is fast being converted to good compot.

Some lettuce is planted deliberately, there's plenty of that. As much again is colonising ,many varieties, across the garden from self seeding "rogues" . It wont stop us planting more.

A Chicory in flower , taller than the bean poles. There will be a mass of seedings beneath this mother plant in the Spring.

Listen To The Scientists

Sugar me Purple...

Several weeks of gradual harvesting,we take some to industrious neighbours who still know why kitchens were invented. The bulk of this batch will be marinaded in sugar overnight. The confection when cooked will be used to make fig rolls

I will be freezing some of the red interiors without the skins to add to the angel sponge cake.
And "Figgy pudding", there's a thought with which to conjure. We all want some, so I am told.Folk are determined not to go until they've had some, demands having been made that the "Figgy Pudding" in question must be brought outside . One must of course oversee and supervise fair distribution. We are cultivating the makings. Glad to assist . We have all caught ourselves singing the Christmas Carol. Who has ever tasted "Figgy Pudding"?
