Anne-Sophie and friends just arrived back with gleanings from the tunnel; some plants were sacrificed to discourage mildew. A large crop remains healthy enough. Ripening can be accelerated by placing a banana in the bag with the unripe fruit.

The hand gives some idea of size. I will get into "named varieties" some other time. Until then they are just "Tomatoes".
Even Natural "ugliness" has charm...
Good fruit will be frozen as soon as ripe.. Slow to ripen will become chutney. When the maincrop comes in we will make Couli and our very own chilli baked beans. We will bottle some with Basil leaves. Who knows what else?
They do make a pretty picture.
