We don't need slaves nor sycophantic servants to do this...

 

Gooseberries.


A brighter view, I will pick these later...


Near ready for picking. Good for jam, jelly, syrop, fresh fruit salads or straight off the bush and into the mouth.  White Currants are heavy croppers. We will likely get a couple of buckets from our short row.


New seasonal colour.Shades of purple, pink, to white.


Hmmm... Nice smell.


 "Chocolate Pagodas", Tibetan Honeysuckle.


Courgette, we have a few of these dotted about the field. This one hides from prevailing westerly winds behind a young Box wood hedge plant.


Time is always, "of the essence"...
